2013RT Screen not working

So the bike went away in the shed with screen lowered, 3weeks later it came out and screen won't go up or down. Any ideas?

Dodgy switch gear perhaps . It is a known problem on RT's

Take it to BMW. If it's switchgear, it'll be replaced gratis. Even if out of warranty i believe. Otherwise ... grace and favour.

Not in Aberdeen they won't. Had to pay a couple of hundred for my LHS switchgear. My RHS failed in Italy in May and the local Motorrad replaced it to my UK bike free of charge and after hours

I'd contact BMW about that.

My 2012RT screen failed 4 times in the first 10 months from new, they kept replacing the switch which cured the fault but usually for a day or two.
They eventually said there was a washer/spacer missing... This was rectified and never failed after that

I think a lot depends on the dealer. I had a rocker box cover problem on my 2012 RT which was replaced . They also replaced the RH switch assembly as it was failing.
My original stealer ( marshals of grimsby ) was not interested in sorting the problem out, but alan jefferies sorted both problems out FOC while the bike was in for service. You can guess which dealer gets my vote.
