Just a profit earner for the dealerI think it’s £49 for someone just doing their job. Not just the insurance chimps !
Another angle of extraction

Would that be neg ‘n’ chip with red on a side please?Someone from Yorkshire would expect a slap up dinner for that….. and change!
Time and health to enjoy it. Living the colour.Nice 70 odd mile ride. Handling and road holding very good with suspension firm but compliant. Either there's very few pot holes on the road or the suspension soaked them up. Nice sound from the exhaust and, as running in, very little chance of heroics! 80 plus mpg on the dash. Only demerit so far ( and I thought it would be so having test ridden one) is a very firm seat. Even with the trusty sheepskin.
I tried the nav system when I got home. No joy. Time to hit t'internet.
You don’t get them or the whole Enfield thing. You told us that in line one. This is possibly because you last rode one in or around 2005.
Go and try the 450 and see what you make of it. Then you’ll have something to say.
PS Very few of the Royal Enfields bought in the UK will ever go anywhere near traffic in India. About the closet they’ll get is Southall.

First addition. I used a ram mount I had lying around. View attachment 322221I've yet to install the Thunderbox and wiring but it should read ok from there. I'll try it out later - when it cools down a bit!

Take the new 450 himmy and the 650 Interceptor out for an hour or 2, prepare to be impressedYeah, I concede that point.
Plus 450cc is all you need for loose gravel etc.
AMR in Glasgow have - I’ll take a look![]()

Get your seat down to Moto Stitch (Was Nostalgia Upholstery) Peter, gel insets, recover if you want, with fancy stitching or logos to match the bike. Chris Bugg is the chap, great workmanship and reasonable priced."Titter ye not!" as Frankie Howerd used to say! That goes for Howard Hughes too!
It paired perfectly with the new headset I bought and steered me through a route with perfectly audible voice commands. Plus, if I lose it ...
More to report ... I think a gel insert is going to be needed for the seat! Also, the throttle is a little too springy for my taste. I'll see what a thin elastic band might do to add a wee tad friction. On the plus side, the gearbox is an absolute peach both up and down the gears. Roadholding and handling are really good, if not sorely tested yet.

What the fuck is that ? A Garmin Abacus 2 ?

Miles now at 214 after a brisk run through the borders this morning : A7 then Clovenfords, Selkirk, St. Boswells and then Kelso for coffee. Fantastic roads and perfect for running in a bike. Home via the 68.
What a torquey, fine handling wee beast this bike is! It reminds me a lot of my old 1150GS in it's ride and power delivery (if not absolute power). The rider sits upright, well above normal traffic height (I do anyway) and cornering requires only a look in the direction of the vanishing point to go around! Counter steering is a joy with those big bars and 21 inch wheel!
As a bonus, after 214 miles, there's still 63 miles on the range count down! That's around 73mpg of near constant gear changing!

And fitted. If they're genuine RE accessories then Ghandi was a Ninja and Modi's a Muslim! But they fit OK and other than being gloss black rather than semi matt, they're fine. I tried the Wolfman softies on them and they fit OK too.![]()
Royal-rider. £80 odd quid. Same as yours iirc. They're fine.Which ones did you get ? Mine are still in transit
