Yip that bike was a 1982 F2C model. Taken near Ribblehead Viaduct . Mrs Mzokk was 21 and I was 25 two years before we were married. Still have the old thing....but the bikes long gone

I bought mine a month after our honeymoon at the TT in 79;; DC Cooks; 2 mths later i was unemployed;;i guess that's how it went in those days. Funnily enough i've still got my old thing; the Honda lasted 2mths from brand new.

My Z900rs made 109 bhp if I remember correctly, it was one of the best engines I’ve ever owned, real world power everywhere

So,despite rumours of two versions , one with a nose cowl and a few fancy bits , these are infact just optional extras to the base bike


The ‘Sports Pack’ adds a colour-coded headlight cowl, radiator grille, engine guard, tank side decals, and a bi-directional quickshifter.

‘Comfort’ then offers a plusher seat, tank pad, and heated grips.

Finally, ‘Travel’ incorporates soft panniers (14L left, 10L right) and a 3L tank bag for touring duties.

All parts are available individually, alongside extras like an indoor body cover, centre stand, and alarm system.

The CB1000F comes in three colour options – Wolf Silver Metallic with Blue Stripe, Wolf Silver Metallic with Grey Stripe, and Graphite Black.

If I was getting one, I’d probably want the Sport pack and Comfort pack.

Taking a stab at the prices, knowing Honda

Total £800

Comfort Pack

Comfort seat £280
Tank pad £65
Heated Grips £320

Total £665

Plus add a centre stand for £250 and your £10600 ish is now in the region of £12315.

Still pretty good value I reckon .

Yes ,,,very pretty to look at ,,, but what do you ACTUALLY do with it ?
My Eldest Lad had an older version of this , 1000 cc naked ,,, I had to deliver it somewhere , and the amount of wind blast made it ( imho ) USLESS above about 50 Mph , so ,,,, are they just Starbucks show ponies ?
I certainly wouldn’t upset it to cover any distance !

That’s the problem

I had a Z900rs, which looked great and had a fantastic engine, but I didn’t use it much and swapped it for a scooter that I use daily

So yes, it’s impractical and fairly limited as to it’s usability, but bejeesus it looks gorgeous

50mph!!! My Ducati Monster is naked bar a small fly screen but I waz about up to twice that. Granted it would be a pig on the motorway for any distance but I've got the GS for tedious journeys. These bikes are for blasting 50 miles to the coast on your favourite roads for a bag of chips. All bikes used to be naked.
