2026 CB1000GT

I've watched a few of the reviews of it now. It seems a great buy at £12k. Similar specced bikes...Kwak £14400, Suzuki GSX 1000GX £15000, BMW XR £18500. Get it serviced with Honda and get up to 6 yrs warranty. I'm looking for downsides to getting one when my NT1100 goes in Spring.
Depends where you ride .
You’d probably miss the mid range grunt of the NT as most of the power of the GT is up high .
If you want a sporty tourer where you need to work it to get the best out of it then get the GT.
But if you’d rather chill a bit and enjoy the view and the ride as a whole then a twin might still be better .
I was half tempted by the GT but having the Wing and X-ADV to tour on, it didn’t add much to the party, hence I’ve gone for the CB1000F to potter about on .
As it’s de tuned to ‘only’ 122 bhp I’m hoping it’ll be more grunty than the GT.

I am not much for the plastic boxes, the bike though does seem a real world answer for sporty touring rather than pretend adventure riding.

Graphics could be more individual though.
Suppose ally panniers will be come available.

I won't miss the dreadful low speed fuelling on the NT. Fancy a change really, 8+ yrs of a parallel twin.

I certainly like the looks of the bike and it would be one to seriously consider when the time comes to change my AT, but OMG how stupidly short is that front mudguard considering how exposed the exhaust headers are.

People love to buy a farckle though 😉

The thing we all need to be aware of going forward is bike manufacturers need to get everything right from the get go.

In Spain you are not permitted to change a single thing on a motorbike, only the dealer can fit manufacturers accessories. Anything else makes the bike illegal.

It will come here too.

Surely not…..remember Brexit. :D

I spoke to the dealer after hearing chopsy saying 2nd quarter of 2026 and he said the first batch will be here Mid Jan and as I ordered mine on the first order it will be in the first batch, we will see !!
there was talk of all that bollocks about fitting extras' to a bike and it being illegal but I thought that was squished with brexit !!
and lets not start talking about that fucktard Starma, worst thing thats happened to the UK in decades,
they all had a lot of positive things to say about it, which was good as Id hate to trade my new ATAS ES for something that was a pile of crap then spend another £10k to get another one,

Can that be improved by remapping?

A workmate owns an NT1100 and says it’s fine once you get it going, I didn’t realise the low down fuelling was poor ?

The NTs low speed fueling is a simple joke the manual even more so I bought a brand new 2025 one that was supposed to be sorted, had a shed load of farkles ready to fit to it when it arrived, did that and about 1k miles on it, had the first service and it was still horrendous, My son in law rode it as he had the first one for 3 years and he said it was defiantly better than his one, I was that pissed off with it I gave it to him, and went and bought the ATAS ES which although shares most parts is nothing like it at all, the son in law loves it, but then again why wouldnt he it was a free brand new bike LOL

Not properly. It is a DCT so, having been in touch with a few UK mappers, it's a no..unless I buy some pre-done map and a device to install it, from the States for around £500 ish (mentioned on a forum) Above 30/40mph, it's a great bike...the problem is trying to 30/50/60kmh tru towns and villages smoothly...it is dire. I'm not a Honda fanboy...but had an Africa Twin DCT for 7.5 yrs and 40k miles....the advice from lots of owners to me..."You need to get used to the DCT bro' "
"FUCK OFF "

The fuelling on my 2018 ATAS DCT was perfect . They must have fucked up the 1100s.

I mentioned it on another thread regarding Hondas. It is apparently the Euro 5+ regs, so earlier 1100s are fine and a non DCT can be mapped....(fuelling is so leaned off to meet the regs and does appear to be bike dependent)...some are worse than others.

I love my NT1100 DCT (2023), gets better with the miles. I must have a good one. Worth nothing second hand though so I'm sticking with it until the GT's come on the market second hand or something better comes along...

How do we know the CB1000GT and CB1000F's mapping won't be pretty bad?

Fueling was perfect on my 2016 AT DCT but the 2020 AT 6-speed was awful.

Of the motorcycles with I've had with poor throttling none of the early professional reviewers highlighted the problem.

Dunno about the CB1000F but of the three or four launch vids on the GT, not one person has complained about the fuelling .

And the fuelling on my CB650R is perfect …..

Anyway, don’t you have stricter regs over there which fuck up the bikes even more ? 🤔

Call me a cynic but I can't quite imagine Honda sending 30 or so new 1000GTs that have not been double checked to be 'running smoothly'...whether Honda will set up every bike the same subsequently is another matter.

Yes but my point was were they all complaining about the NT1100's fueling at the launch? Maybe they did but if so I don't recall them making much of a fuss about it.

I don't doubt it but it's hit or miss between models. My Goldwing was fine as is my CB500X, others have not been.

Noise may be stricter but I doubt emissions is because we have models that can't be sold in Europe such as XL650L, XT250, KLR650, etc. And my Yamaha Tenere 700 had delightful fueling but I recall some complaints about the Euro ones.
