My 2011 TC is now out of warranty and due a 24K mile service. I'm thinking of doing most of the work myself - I am reasonably competent at basic spannering and have done similar work on previous bikes. A couple of queries though - Are the valve clearances straightforward to adjust? Or is this a bucket & shim job? Likewise throttle body synching - do I need any special equipment to do this?
And now for my shooping list - I already have (on the list):
Engine oil
Gearbox oil
FD oil
Spark plugs x4
Sealing washer for sump plug (same for gearbox and FD?)
Air filter
Oil filter
Alternator belt
Anything else needed?
I also have some issues with the rear brake caliper - at the very least I think it needs stripping and rebuilding (seal kit?) but may need replacing. It definitely needs a new rear disc + set of pads.
Alternatively, any recommendations for a non-franchised workshop in my neck of the woods (Sunny Northants)?
