depends what you are using them on or in? the 35 is still a very good unit and smaller so easy to find space for

Based on my limited experience I would start with a 50 dipped - make night seem like day. If you are still unhappy you can go for main.........

Sure the main beam takes a few seconds to "warm up" to full power, but it's still bloody fantastic.

I too have one of Les' kit and agree it's bloody fantastic.

Go for the 50w. it makes a difference. The object of the excersize is to see and be seen, so SEE and be SEEN

so if they are seeing you stand out that far you cant go wrong

50w for 1150/1200

35w for F800GS - 50 runs a bit hot for the headlamp unit and can damage the reflective paint.
