A pure existantial problem, Santiago boots :-)

Those metal bits are bollox! :rob
Made me fall over several times as I try to get grip tip toeing on my bike
Sold them and bought HG version without the metal shitty thing.
Why did you sold them as there is only 16 screws to them it away :eek

If you will buy a bike that's too big for you, young Tom:rolleyes:
I am 1,85 m and I must admit using my tiptoe sometimes ;)

good boot 100% waterproof. I removed the metal tips as I dont need them to announce my presence as I clatter around.

I've had my eye on a pair of these for a while but was a bit worried about forking out £210. Do you think they are worth that amount? :)
They better be  Haven't had the chance to test drive them yet (another 2 weeks to wait) but I can tell so far that they look very solid, are confy and doesn't makes you look, once you take that metal thing out, like a stuntman:P
Don't fancy too much the Tuareg... looks too technical...

I was a bit scared that they'll be a bit too thick to easily change gear but it seems that it will be ok. Otherwise I'll just take the foot peg rubber out.

Not Santiago boots, but this is why off-road style boots have a (replaceable) metal toe guard.
Mark

Mark, you just proved, again, that a picture is worth a thousand words :clap :clap Thanks!
As I probably never will be as the man on the picture... I'll just take them out :augie

Cheers everybody
:beerjug:

By taking the 16 screws off .. I was led to believe (as BMW were very vague about it .. I asked a man called Conrad Parker in BMW Bracknell) that it WOULD invalidate the warranty.

So I swapped for another brand.

Strange... my dealer told me that if I didn't want to keep them, no problem at all if I take them out.
Hope you enjoy you're new ones :)

I got a nearly new pair at last year's NEC show, on the riders for health bring and buy stall in the bike park... they looked like they had virtually no wear at all :)

me "How much for the boots?"

them "give us a tenner"

Result :D Well worth the money I reckon
