Hello everybody
Just got me a pair of BMW Santiago boots and like them so far! Haven't ride with them yet.
I am wondering of what is exactly the purpose of that metal thing at the tiptoe?
Apart looking like MadMax, I cannot find any reasons (valuable) for those... but I can find few reasons why not having it.
1/ If you don't pay attention while putting your foot on the peg, you might
scratch the engine paint.
2/If you don't raise you're leg high enough up you might scratch/tear
whatever is on you're rear bash plate
3/Sometimes while I manoeuvre the bike I use my tiptoe to go backwards.
You loose that ability with that thing
It's hard to believe that it is there to protect my foot, or the boot itself.
Will those only serve while riding off tarmac
I am about to take them out...
Thank you for you're input, I might (again) learn something
Cheers
Bernard
