Accelerator Module

I’ll be testing a new Mark2 (pre-production) version of the ‘Accelerator’ over the next few weeks. I haven’t seen it yet, but it should arrive this week.

I will be testing it on my 09 GSA and my mates new 2010 GSA. So I’ll report back as soon as I’ve given it a good thrashing.:augie
Look forward to your review Yonkyo :thumb

And ive just ordered the old one :blast turned up this morning will be fitting it tomorrow, will tell my findings after a ride. :thumb2

ah couldnt wait till tomorrow to fit it so fitted, esay 5 min job, first finding she is idderling slightly faster. But will still have to wait for the test ride :(

And the exact nature of this ‘ten minutes work’ is… :augie

He's on about a do-it-yourself air sensor resister mod....instead of spending £100 on a Booster plug.:mmmm

The diagnostic will show the engine being fooled into thinking the ambient temperature is -9 degrees.

Which can be done for 72 pence.
I see you've been baiting over on Adventure Rider today too "The booster doesn't change the mixture. The booster makes the motronic think the outside air temperature is -9 degrees, permanently.

You can get it to do the same thing - for a dollar."

All i wish to add is that the 'booster' made my bike much much better to live with at slower speeds and i don't care about the $1 or 72p - once you have spent your money and your happy it doesn't then matter (bit like the holiday that somebody on the flight will end up telling you they got it cheaper) Love this forum, love my bike, and love you all (well at least after a bottle of very good red wine all to myself) :beerjug:

Just ordered one myself. The (my) 2010 motor is very smooth as it is at lower revs, so I'll be interested to see what effect this has. :thumb

Get One !!

Dudes, fitted the Accelleraor Module, and afterv around 400 miles around various power stations, am mighty happy !! The bike, as a fellow UKGS'er mentioned is the machine I was hoping for from the start. More grunt, les cog bashing, and apparently a MPG or two more -:bounce1 Yipee

Any idea how this new version has been changed and what the benefits are? I am interested in one but will probably hold off until the new one is released. :thumb

Mr melly, your free to spend your hard earned money in any way you wish, on whatever takes your fancy. It's a free world. :beerjug:

So do tell the difference in it's operating function between a resisitor . I'm all ears . :D

Sorry, I don’t know anything about the new version yet, as I haven’t received it from Mavn in Belgium yet. Also I’m only beta testing it, so I don’t when it will be on sale.

For the sake of £30, and the benefits gained, I’d buy the current one anyway – or you could make one yourself for less than a Quid.:thumb2

Hellooo, as far as I know, there is no difference between all these devises (just price:augie). Anyhow, I just don’t have the knowledge/time/inclination to make my own. So I’m happy to spend 30 Quid for someone else’s knowledge/time/inclination.:thumb2

So why don’t you make some resister wire things and knock them out at 5 Quid a shot and make yourself a 400% margin. ;)

:thumb (its in the post apparently.... !)

A general question about the module.

I ordered my module last week and it arrived within 3 days... fitted in a few minutes, so far so good.

My question is, have people who have brought the module found it works better with after market headers and can. The reason that i ask is that i have not noticed the remarkable difference that most people have reported. Yes there is a slight improvement but generally she is behaving just as before. Now maybe i am one of the lucky ones? 21000 carefree miles in 9 months without a glitch. Not one :)

thanks in advance

Eye well on way to healing, full vision now but beat up a bit from surgery. Rode bike today first time in 3 weeks and I think it's a very worthwhile improvement. Had a mate on back and it's deffo more torquey. Well pleased.:D

The bike has just had a much needed service this week so I look forward to seeing what, if any, difference there is with it spliced in when I next get the chance to get out on it . :)

I don't think there's a massive improvement but my bike is definately smoother and less jerky on/off the throttle.

For £30 it's money well spent in my opinion and mines staying on
