ADVICE - 2012 Tripleblack yes or no?

I saw my old 2010 black twin cam on the dealers forecourt yesterday (panniers and top box fitted) for £7295 .. and mighty fine she looked too.

Out of the 3 1200s I've owned (one of each flavour) the twin cam just has something special about it. :beerjug:

Had a 2011 and 2012 GSA. Both were brilliant. Got to say I'm a fan of the new models tho, much quicker out the box and more economical, albeit heading into rip off territory on prices. My 2011 GSA cost about £13500 new with free panniers.

Seems like the way to go, ill put an offer on the table in the morning and see how I get on :)

On a trip last week swapped my 14 Plate GS LC with his 11 Plate TB TC, both have full Akra, his is Hilltopped, so he could have a go. His was quite quick, but he is younger & more rash than me, so quickly left me behind.

At the end he was grinning, whereas I'd developed white finger.

I'd forgotten how much those two wheeled tractors shake.

And people reckon the XR vibrates!:D

Lovely bikes,, you wont be disappointed. Had a 2011 Twin Cam GSA for 4 years, loved it, no issues at all, never
missed a beat.

Only sold it as it was getting a bit too big and heavy for me to lug around. Tried the LC GS as a replacement
which I thought was a fantastic bike but went for the KTM in the end, you cant argue with 150bhp!

I love my triple black one of the best looking GS but then that's why I bought it .
Even the exhaust looks ok especially compared to the washing machine part clamped on the LC
Enough power for me anyway and 57 mpg on Ave
Comfy smooth (compared to older models)
Lots of spares availability etc
What's not to like

I paid more than that from a dealer for a 2012 GSA with 5k on it (non triple black).

Yours sounds like a good deal.

Well folks the initial offer I put in I had no rep,y from, so I've found a less mileage, year younger (2013) with everything in the 90th anniversary colour black, a fresh service on it and it issue to be delivered next Thursday, can't wait, I've officially joined the forum!

take a look at mine in the fs section, may be cheaper.

I bought a 63 TB GSA end of May (10k miles on it) and am just back from a trip to the Misano MotoGP, via a few alpine passes, covering 4800 miles and it was, and still is, brilliant. We're well bonded now! Haven't you bought it yet????
