I have a 15 spec Gs TE. And much as I like it, I have a longing to try (and possibly own) an 1150 GS.
I'd probably keep the WC bike as well.
I have I totally lost the plot, Is it just me?

I had one alongside my WC for a bit, it was nice enough but the WC was the bike I always rode, you could end up an expensive ornament but they do have a certain charm.

How do you know don't knock it until you try it! and that goes for the 1150 as well haha

No you;re not mad, the 1150 has a lot to commend it as long as you aren't looking for outright power. They aren't plastic fantastic, look like proper bike instead of an explosion in a Lego factory and can be surprisingly quick in real world motorcycling as opposed to track days etc.

The gearbox is better then the LC and the switches are unlikely to fail in less than 100,000 miles. They also have logical indicator switches designed prior to BMW caving in to the road test jockies who found it difficult swtching from Japanese standard switch gear to good ones.

Actually I had huge fun at Knockhill on my 1150, a short enough twisty track that the lower power to weight ratio wasn't so much of an issue.
