Is that solo, no panniers, if not, that is good 
. When I got my first 1200 in march 04, i was getting mid 60s with panniers on, but those bikes were set up very lean, surged alot, which was really annoying in a 30 limit. My current stead, GSA 1200 is averaging around 55 mpg with panniers all the time.

Last tankfull before the 12000 service was 61.something per gallon (mostly without pillion or luggage). Not yet refilled after the service so don't know if its better or worse yet (but engine so much smoother that Mrs bear notices it on the pillion).

249 miles from full to no miles left (ie the fule gage said it was empty) standard 05 1200gs with panniers, normal riding.
What does that work out at???
I'm also comming up to 8000 mls on my rear TKC 80 with over 2mm left on the tyre.

No shit...
~47mpg here averaged over the last few tankfuls. One up, topbox, no panniers, some commuting, some open roads, some weekend fun.
current average on OBC is 48.7

overtaking road trains on a recent ride thru the Northern Territory Australia....
In case you are wondering the legal speed limit is 130klms per hour in the NT
up untill recently they had an open speed limit outside built up areas....thats
"open" meaning go as fast as you like....
Most Northern Territorians still drive like they used to........so when i was floating along at 150klms per hour (thinking i was flying) i still had some come past me at speed.........so they must of been doing close to 200klms per hour............!!!

80ish most of the time over 50 mile trip each way to work and back. never more never less, my old zx12r averaged 32 and a bit less on missile mode

Ho Hum, I normally get to see the warning light after 120 miles and it normally shows 34 miles til empty. Not worked out MPG but then that's not what I got the bike for

On my summer trip around France and Italy I regularly saw 215+ before the warning came on, the best being 231 miles, this was two up, GIVI panniers and a 65 litre bag on the rack. Kept around legal speeds as i wasn't in any hurry to get anywhere and enjoyed the trip. I reckon around 50-55mpg as an average for the trip.
Jill said she usualy gets about 230 mls before the fule light comes on, on her 01 650 solo with box and panniers.
So hold your breath you've got a bit further to go yet
My 1200 was showing 248mls on the trip, with 23 to go. Panniers and top box on, mostly town work. It's done just over 27000mls now.
Oh yer, that included a day off roading and fording on the fossway two-up.
I'm rather enjoying this bike
