And so it’s Starts 🤞🤞

Just as a matter of interest, has anyone ever tried to remove the ABS by just undoing the three nuts 🤔🤔

The part number is in a thread I linked to a while ago BUt Yes I believe Mk7 Fiesta

Araldite ??? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! even two M6 bolts/threaded things holding it down in to the corner stops will do

Now I’ve split the motor from the unit, I can see how you can test it, but how dyou test the secondhand from the scrapyard 🤔

So while I’m waiting for the motor (tomorrow 🤞) could anyone tell me what this is, it’s not bolted down and the lid doesn’t seem to fit, it’s just flopping about like a dick in a bucket, the first time I saw it was when I took the tank off 🤔
Cheers Baza 👍
PS The string is to hold the lid owta the way 😉

yep part 2 above a plastic thing - the engine ECU goes at the bottom then the ZFE sits on top

Thanks John for the info and photo, I’ll check it out later 👍
Get on with fitting the motor!

No diversions!!

Goodness sakes !!

Ooooo look a Squirrel !!! Whooooosh

;););)

Sort out that "bit" when you reassemble it (y)

P.S. a good wash and scrub and good scoosh of ACF50 would be a good call all around there

But remember to flush well with fresh water and blow out the alternator :thumb

Update,,I've found an ABS Unit but the numbers are slightly different,
CV21-2C405-AE
D1B1-2C405-AE
This is what Google says, but i could do with a second opinion ,,
The difference between ABS units CV21-2C405-AE and D1B1-2C405-AE lies primarily in their application and potential minor design variations, though they likely share core ABS functionality. The "CV21" prefix likely indicates a specific Ford Fiesta model year or generation, while "D1B1" might point to a different model or slightly updated design.

Afaik

Its just the motor your going to use, not the ABS unit itself

Might be a bit controversial, but I'd of thought you'd have sourced the parts before starting the job ?? :D

Yes mate I know it’s just the motor, I was hoping they’d be all the same it’s off a 64 plate Fiesta 👍
Sourcing the parts before hand, where’s the fun in that 😉😉🫣👍
