Tap the bracket across the bike towards where the head of the bolt was
The part number is in a thread I linked to a while ago BUt Yes I believe Mk7 Fiesta
Araldite ??? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! even two M6 bolts/threaded things holding it down in to the corner stops will do
Now I’ve split the motor from the unit, I can see how you can test it, but how dyou test the secondhand from the scrapyard

So while I’m waiting for the motor (tomorrow 
) could anyone tell me what this is, it’s not bolted down and the lid doesn’t seem to fit, it’s just flopping about like a dick in a bucket, the first time I saw it was when I took the tank off

Do you mean the BMS-PK unit ? It’s the management ECU that runs the bikes systems.
And normally clipped to the bracketry under the tank

ECU in bracket on a 2008 bike.

The bracket that houses the ECU is plastic.
You could look at the parts on realoem.com Put in last 7 digits of your chassis.

Sort out that "bit" when you reassemble it
P.S. a good wash and scrub and good scoosh of ACF50 would be a good call all around there
But remember to flush well with fresh water and blow out the alternator
Get on with fitting the motor!

Update,,I've found an ABS Unit but the numbers are slightly different,
CV21-2C405-AE
D1B1-2C405-AE
This is what Google says,but i could do with a second opinion ,,
