After filing up at the pumps and riding about 20 miles i realized my stater button was missing. managed to carry on with my day and get the bike started again after stops with a sprig of heather.

only BMW replacement i can get is the whole unit at £70 from motorworks (if they have one), but no button on it's own. I still have the kill switch though.

Any one had this ? how'd you overcome it? Although the heather works it's not ideal

Heather is the cheapest solution to date, and it's lucky.

I recently replaced one on an F, looked like someone picked it off - but the replacement button on its own came from Motorworks...

If I had access to a small lathe I would make you a replacement from alloy, I've got plenty of e-clips spare.

I'm surprised that Touratoss, Wonder Lick etc don't make them. Maybe even Oberon could make them?

A market opportunity methinks.

Once i got the switch assembly apart i found half of the eClip...there's your problem!!!!

High quality engineering nylon
So you can carry a spare...
You will probably never need it....But just in case
