Hi guys

Today I received a letter from BMW France telling me that they want to replace the right hand switch block on my 1300GS

Problem is a risk of water ingress

Anybody else got this ??

Yep

I’ll get it done at the next service in April along with the new starter relay

Yes, mine is in on Monday for replacement But bike has been in a couple of 5 hour rides in constant heavy rain and no problems

Apparently mine doesn’t have the relay problem (July 2024 bike)

Anyway - 2h3n it’s rainy I’m normally inside

Yes, MCN long termer had issue and mine broke down in France because of the same. Lots of pics online of bods with switchgear wrapped in cling film or stripped apart. Us beta testers found the issue, yours will be replaced so you don’t break down.

Dealer didnt notify me (nor a pal who got the same), the bike is booked in for its first service and the dealer told me about it and that it will be done when the bike is in. I’d give your dealer a buzz.

Glad you guys are having fun about the nano seconds

Had my bike in today - new switch block, new starter relay, brake lever check (check for over tight or damaged screw ???) and software update
