I had a set untill a puncture wrote off the rear (i still have the front on) i was very impressed with them compared to metz tourance.Seeing as my nxt's are going square and I'm not over keen on them, what's your thoughts on the anakee 3 's.

me too............. not happy with them. The original Tourance is a better tyreI'm looking for an alternative to my Next so keep us posted on what you replace yours with![]()
Fronts are not the problem with NEXTs . Rear is wearing really badlyI had a set untill a puncture wrote off the rear (i still have the front on) i was very impressed with them compared to metz tourance.
turn in seemed sharper and tracking and stability also improved through bends. excelent in the rain (unlike me)
As said the rear was written off but the front has now done about 3K and is still performing well
Nutty
What don't you like about the Metzler next's, or are you just after a change.?
Cheers

Seems to me that the Anakee 3 and Tourance next have wildly differing opinions and wear rates, all for similar bikes.
I'm impressed with the Anakee's.
Suprising levels of grip and seem to warm up very quickly.
What has suprised me is the size of the chicken stripson the rear. I'm almost to the edge of the front tyre and yet a stubborn 3/4" strip remains on the rear.
Apparently from info found on google they have produced an updated next with slightly harder compound in the middle due to excessive tyre wear on the first batch of tyres, so depending when your tyre was made it could be within the second production run and therefore the excessive wear not be an issue.
