Visited Roger Yesterday for Fitment of my two new 40Ltr Panniers on my 1150GS and must say I am very pleased with the quality and recommend them to anyone.
That pleased I have ordered the matching Top box:blast sorry Roger I know your not keen on making them :thumb.
See you after your holiday and I will post pictures once I have the complete set on.

Thanks Dean

Ard cases on SE

Come on then Beano, lets see what colour ARDcases you went for on your SE.
Attached picture of my SE, will not be to everyone's taste I`m sure, particularly the HUGE top box, but I did go for balanced panniers 7&9" width so that the overall width is just less than the crashbars. And a thanks to Roger for doing a great job.:)

I guess we will get pickys once the dogs christened it>:eek

I'm in discussion with Redcap re the purchase of some of his bootifull boxes. I'm going for boxes only as I'm planning on hacking some TT racks off my XT660. Aiden's idea below is creative, but could I not mount them just far enough so that the key fits, or slightly lower even? The picture on the TT site looks like they are mounted just low enough for the key to fit.

Does anyone have a picture of the TT racks directly side on, grateful if you could post it here?

Also, is that bit linking the rack to the frame of the bike held on by that bolt only?

New Ard's

Well, after working 'til 4am on New Years eve, I was on the road at 9 am to make the trip to Rogers gaff, out in the lonely fens near Huntingdon. The new Ardcases were awaiting collection/fitting.:D

I should say right away that they are all I expected after quite a bit of research. Well made and finished, they look good on the 1150 GSA, although my first reaction, typically I guess, was "Bloody hell, they look huge". I've had the same reaction to other bike luggage too, and soon got used to them. I should say that Roger had it spot on with his measuring though, and the panniers (I've got two equal sized, 40 litre boxes) are actually only 1" wider than the handlebars on each side, so no real problem there. The Givi boxes on my V Strom were WAY wider than that.

After the obligatory tea(s), Roger had 'em fitted, and I had a big grin on the old moolah. Anyone thinking of boxes, for any bike, give this guy a call. For excellent panniers and frames, made to your spec. and at a very affordable price, "he da man".:thumb

Roger,
Just to confirm how pleased I am with the cases/frames. I just wanted to tell you that, relative to the story you told me about the twerp with the jet wash, I used my professional jet wash on my boxes today (OK with reduced pressure, but hell, 300 bar!!) and not a drop of water came in. Good test I reckon. Cheers and good luck

Last year roger made me a topbox for my r1150gs i was so impressed
by the quality and price i decided to sell my touratech panniers and get roger to make a pair of 40 litre panniers with this in mind i fitted a stubby exhaust
and modified my touratech pannier frames to accommodate the 2 10" wide
panniers here are some pictures.

A brace of ARD cases

Well a 350 mile round trip from Lancashire at 1.5 deg C and snow was worth it to collect my new Ards from that nice chap Roger.

The Tenere is symetrical , the F650 a 6.5" left 8" right

cases were fitted whilst i waited and have the new dogs b....x brace shown in the trhread above above.

Now all we need to do is sticker em up and go travelling .

Thanks again for the great service Roger , Highly recommended

Hi,

I'm a bit new on the site but the boxes look superb. Do you have a website and do you make them in different sizes?

Thanks

Billy

Hi all a pic of my latest creation a set of white /black boxes ,these were made for a Cagiva Elefant .Sizes were app. 15"hx17"lx8"w and10"w made of 2mm alloy on outward faces 2.5 bottom and back gives a stronger mounting point they weigh app 6kg each .Please let me know what you think good or bad or any ideas worth incorporating. I think I'd be interested in a couple for my 1150 GS Adventure - how much for the 8" wide ones and a fitting kit?

Thanks

Yes Dave, roger supplies the racks (Holan) too. Give him a bell for details, prices etc. :thumb2

Billy, Roger can make the panniers to whatever size you specify and can powder coat them in most colours too. His mobile number is 07931 288 035. :thumb2
