Any special notes for carrying out the fitting of an autocom. I had it on a triumph before and just went striaght off the battery with an in line switch. One of my mates mentioned it not being too easy on the GS1200 and said something about a bus !!! Abus, modbus......not sure. Said the bike wouldn't recognise the load and shut it down.

One of your mates is talking sh1t.

Lots of threads here on UKGSer on how to do it.... many where it ends up working very well, too :thumb2

It is very easy to install :thumb2

Scroll up the page to SEARCH

Click on ADVANCED SEARCH

Type Autocom into the key word word search box on the upper left and select 1200 Technical section from the drop down list on the lower right.

Up assorted threads will pop.

Read through some / all and learn all about it.

Your mates talking about the 'Canbus' wiring system. Just do what you did on your Triumph (as long as you remember to turn the switch off :blast) or take a switched feed from the Auxilary power socket. :thumb2
