Just reading a thread - in another place- regarding back boxes coming off 1200 GS after bumps etc.
Anyone here heard of this?

lots of reports- must do a search
mine cracked and now bolted on (has not fallen off though)
Check underneath for cracks
do a search first
BTW BMW do an off road kit for these boxes--- couple of bolts top hold them on !

Had heard of this to the point of being paranoid when my son was on the back, now bolted on as well as it pretty much stays on all the time anyway.

lost mine
Lost the top box off my 1100gs 2 days after buying it. went along the m25, it was there when i started, not there when if inished.

Could be the Baron he is pretty good at removing luggage seen him in action.
