BACK FIRE

Keeps back firing at about 3000rpm sometimes on the gear change up but most of the time on the down shift.Seems to by very random and only when the bike is hot..Any ideas i have checked the plugs/throttle bodies,plugs etc etc,I repaired the ignition loom the other day i thought that was the prob but still does it..

Are you using a Y piece and standard can? If so just enjoy

Air getting in somewhere, Probably the join from the end can. Mine did it when I first dropped the cat, and I hated it. After some adjustment and some coke build up, it stopped.

My Remus Y and Genesis can has been popping since fitting it the other day, seems to be getting less, I quite like it but sounds a bit too much like a 'crosser for the suave Bimmer.
