Hi folks
Not been on here for some time now, work & off road bike commitments - but now retirement looms - 30th April
so time to get Bertha back on the road.
05 non ABS bike with 22500 miles on the clock but only about 3k of those over the last three years.
Each of the last two years (since warranty expired) I've done the following:
Removed wheels & calipers to clean brake pistons thoroughly
Changed oil filter, engine oil, gearbox oil, FD oil
Cleaned K&N
Adjusted valves (but need some new Wurth gauges - anyone on here selling them?)
Also changed all spark plugs last spring
I've got a vac guage to do the injector ballancing but have yet to use it, but looks straighforward enough.
I know its overdue a brake & clutch fluid change - so I will do that.
The tyres are good, done about 3k miles & were the then new Conti Trail Attacks, about three years old - will they still be safe
Both shocks are Ohlins which were rebuilt at about 20k miles, do they eventually lose gas
Is the generator belt likely to be hardened / perished
Is there anything else I should look out for? Bike has always been garaged & is immaculate.
Last but not least just re-subscribed so should be a bona fide tosser soon
