Is it just because I'm old but looking at some photos of my friends and our first bikes. We never ( as far as I can recall) really thought about the bikes but where we would go, wild camping around the west of Scotland and see relatives in Caithness. So perhaps back to basics is where I got most pleasure out of my early biking days perhaps I've become too old and forgotten the freedom biking gave us in those days. Maybe I listened to much to the Animals and Eric singing "when I was young"
