Hello Chaps

just a quick note to let you know I have all but given up on the 'other' place cos its dead quiet on the board and nowt ever seems to happen.
Even though im currently unemployed (ahem )I have stumped up the subscription. Not much chance of ever turning up for a monthly meet or a rideout :D but the thought is there!!
Have you missed me ?

Hey there.

Welcome back. nothing's changed since you left :augie

edit - I just checked and you never stopped posting here? now I'm confused - are you just telling us you've left the 'other place'

I am indeed just letting you know Im giving up on the 'other' place (not renewing subs there) and that I have put my hand in my pocket and topped up tosser coffers!

(sorry to confuse you! )

By the way - you dont half look like Steppers!! - that will make no sense at all when you change your avatar!!

Yep:D

Can't decide whether I should volunteer for redundancy:nenau

I reckon, if I was in the position where I could get a good redundancy deal topping up my income working part time or something, till I could get at my pension I would do it. You never know whats around the corner - what would happen if the employer went to the wall ? Or something awfull happened on the health front ? Life is too short - live it while you can and do your best to be happy doing the things YOU want to do.
Im desperately trying to persuade Mrs Cestria to change jobs or do part time supply work just so she can have a better quality of life and get the work / life balance back in her favour and hopefully be a lot happier for it.

For me that's the main reason against taking redundancy...the Death in service benefit for SWMBO

I can take a pension now..albeit with a severe penalty

Very good point. Its something I now dont have, but Im investigating life insurance which gives a monthly income till dependants reach 21 rather than a lump sum.

Its a hard one to call.

Bloody pensioners....

Im on a full military pension after serving 24 years:thumb2

But, after having 2 years as a house husband (which was great), due to the credit crunch I will have to go back to work (possibly part time):(

Any jobs going? Im not proud, I will consider anything:thumb2

Anyone going to Shropshire meet this weekend?

Peter

PM for you:thumb2

Well Done Dave for renewing your subs at last.......tight@rse;):D
(I won't be renewing the club subs either)

Hey, I resemble that remark :D :augie

Can I have a PM as well please, Ive forgotten what they are like! :D
