Following a fair few miles this past week on the RS, I think I'm going to need the bars brought up about an inch and back a little. I don't want to get into modifying clutch line connections, other than losing one of the cable ties (or moving it). Has anyone tried those generic £30 risers as found on ebay or would I be better served using the Heli riser kit which the maker claims can be fitted without mods? Seems quite spendy for what it is but as pretty important part where safety is concerned part of me wants the peace of mind that the cheaper options are usually best avoided for reasons of precision fit and strength. These days with cnc being what it is though, I'd hope any of them would fit properly. Interested to hear back from anyone who's tried either option?
I'm not getting on that well with the Wunderlich screen either. It's very noisy in the lower position and whilst if raised, much better but you need to duck a little to avoid turbulence so I'll be changing that for an MRA Vario X which I had on my GSA and found perfect as the combination of spoiler and screen meant there was at least a few positions you could find to get a happy compromise. It's lower than the Wunderlich but just seems to work better IME.
Other than those two things, the bike's nigh on perfect for fit and comfort.
