Just tried update 4.3.4.0 Says "Fixed issues when trying to update" It does not! I didn't think it was possible for Garmin to get worse but they just did. Does nobody actually test this stuff before they release it?

I'm forced to use Basecamp to deal with the latest generation of devices. For my own use I would not touch it.

On a new(bought in May) Laptop running Windows 8 I got the same error messages I got with the previous update. As I had to download routes to a Nav 5 I just deleted the new version and reverted to an earlier one. I ave to use Bascamp for our cheap car device which as far as I can see has the same navigation capabilities as the Nav 5.

Check what version of .netframework you have on your 'puter. The easy way is to go to this site and it will tell you the version... If you are running Firefox or another browser, you can download their small .exe file and run it, with the browser still open. It does not contain any nasties!

You should have version 4.5 or better to install BC.

Just re download the program & it should just overwrite the old version.

I prefer to download & update it from the App Store
