Battery help please

I had a new battery fitted by BMW in Istanbul last month and since then have ridden about 3,000 kms. As I have an alarm on the bike I usually leave the Optimate connected and until about 10 days ago all was fine but when I returned from a business trip the Optimate is showing red. The bike starts fine but the red battery warning light does not come on when I switch on the ignition. Loose connection somewhere? Any ideas anyone?

Check your electrolyte level if it`s a lead acid battery.It has happened to me a couple of times on a bike that I only use in good weather and for 100% pleasure rides.The red LED comes on almost exactly at the "low level" line.
