Bloody LC crap

I came from a blackbird to a 1200TC and have rode a LC the blackbird would eat a 1200LC without going above 6k revs smooth as silk and would pull stronger than any GS in any gear hardly a pain to ride on the roads none of the GS range are fast unless you are coming from a FS1E yes they handle very well and pull well for a tractor but they are not fast

I was on about hyper-sports bikes...not fast old barges....(Ex-ZZR11/12/14 owner myself..:D )

I went to the Pyrennese with a group , one had a zzr1400 another a blackbird , they were not capable of keeping up with the LC , the big cruisers were fine on the big roads for the high speeds but apart from that that , unless , strangely they now both own a gs now. It's not about the stellar speeds , the smooth box , the bubble fairings , it's about a bike that gives you soul , a purpose to ride , and above all the priceless smile it puts on your face. I know as the two riders I spoke of now understand and would never go back , and also ride better and faster now . IMHO

Rode down through Germany on the autobahns the GSs could not keep up with the ZZRs CBR etc when on the passes the super motos were leaving the GSs through the tight corners the GS is not a fast bike in a speed sense its a good all rounder if not one of the best that most riders can get more out of than a sports bike due to it been easier to ride but fast who you kidding.

Now I know why Guy Martin cant get his first TT win he should be riding a GS best drop him a email

Why couldn't the GS keep up with a ZZR or CBR on the passes?

And, it will be slower on longer straighter roads as you describe. It doesn't have mental top end speeds does it.

A supermoto would out handle any bike on a pass as its so light , you can also slide the rear end round to exit the corners faster ( backing it in if your not familiar with the action ) on a crusier its called ABS chatter or a skid lol.
Seriously come out with me around wales and I will show you what a gs can do ........... if you have the undercarriage ...

I have had a GS and know how good they are they are a great all rounder if not the best but are not a fastest bike in any one area they are not focused horses for courses and all that I still think the GS range are not fast bikes good but not fast.

Sorry never liked Wales but thanks for the offer

What is the point I am missing the GS is a great do it all bike and easy to ride but its not a fast bike it is better than it should be given the outright lack of power compaired to a sports bike the size and weight but there are better bikes in all areas.

Anyone who thinks a GS is quicker than a sports bike need to remove the blinkers an average rider will be quicker on the GS as its easier to get the best out of a top pro rider will be quicker on the sports bike as they can get the best out of it if fact the pro rider will be quicker on most bikes than the average GS rider.

I think that because the GS is so easy to ride and forgiving is the key to its success it flatters Mr Average in to thinking he is a riding god where a sports bike makes Mr Average follow through when he opens the throttle and gets it in a twist as its more focused and not as forgiving.

Oh dear, the descent into my balls are bigger than your balls has started.......again.

Embarrassing aint it, grown men an' all, especially the comment below. The hairs on the back of my neck still haven't gone down. ;)

Calm down , just a bit of banter .......................................now where is my wheel barrow to carry my nuts.......

Not with all groups as some of us have the ability to ride fast and well without the need to show off.

I think if we're truthful with ourselves, most of us have a higher opinion of our own riding skills and ability levels than is actually the case.
