Bought a Keis jacket today

I think that's my next purchase - it is a bit of a faff trying to get to the controller sometimes (and sometimes one part of it looses it's plug in connection).

Does it seem robust enough ??

Yes it's well built, waterproof, pretty much the same size as the normal controller. I fitted mine on the handlebars with the supplied mount where I can instantly see which setting I've chosen.

Just invested in the long sleeved versions for the two of us. Don't seem to be able to cope with the cold like I used to.

I have been using my jacket every day on my commute and it really does make a difference. Even on the mid setting it is borderline too hot.

I wish they were around in 1977 when my bike was my sole transport.
As mentioned above,they are a complete game changer for winter riding.
Bought mine for a trip from London to the West of Ireland two years ago.
5 deg C up through Wales to the ferry,warm as toast.

I got the full jacket just before christmas.

As above its the bollocks,sort of riding along in yr nice warm bed quilt,quite strange at first,
however the 1st time i hung it up with the loop thing in the collar the loop fell apart.

Ive been useing it with the controller just hanging down out of the bottom of my jacket, however I will mount it to the bike I think so I can adjust the heat without having to look down to see it.

If anyone ever doubts the efficacy of heated clothing or the value of being able to control its temperature easily, this thread should answer their uncertainty.

Leave all the others to their newspapers, bubble wrap, goose fat, bin bags, knitted cardigans (bought for 50p in the local charity shop), layered autumnal leaves or to simply freezing and being miserable.... As that's what only 'real' Adventure bikers do....

Indeed I seem to remember that many years ago Bike magazine did an article on the comparative effects on bike control of being cold versus drinking alcohol.
They subjected their poor volunteers to a good dousing with cold water and then they did a bike control test round some cones. Once they'd warmed back up they then let them have a few drinks and repeated the tests.
Scientifically it probably wasn't the most robust of tests , but it was interesting reading and it did highlight just how much your evarage biker bod can be affected by the cold!

Of course none of the above applies to hardy adventure biker types as they are immune to any discomfort caused by the elements

I've had the Powerlet (very similar to WarmnSafe I am told) jacket for 18 months - ridden thru both winters so far - last year was cold and it's a godsend..

Wireless dual controller velcroed to clutch reservoir. lovely - On very cold days last winter I get from 12 o'clock to 9 o'clock on the dial - that was unreal when I turned it off to test if it was working - I froze almost immediately..

I wear a Klim Badlands Pro outfit and there's little thermal effect - in combo with the heated jacket = excellent layering with just a long sleeved thin top down to 2 degrees...

Another Keis jacket convert here having worn mine for the first time this morning, what a revelation! Just ordered a pair of inner gloves to go with it

I think thats the way to go. I struggle to find the controller on my Oxford when I'm sat on the bike as it disappears around my waist.
If anyone could post pics on the best config? velcro? whatever its would save me faffing around? Thanks !

I bought a full Keis jacket and remote controller about 3 weeks ago. I thought the remote looked a bit shit quality and I was right. It failed this morning. Nearly £60 that cost. This is Keis ffs, not some Chinese rubbish off eBay .... Or is it? !!

That's a shame, I was considering buying a remote controller.
