cam chain tensioners 1150gs

just wanting to know if anyone has upgraded their cam chain tensioners and .... what the results of doing so was to the bike.. better , less noise etc

Same result here also, check out first, I think there is something on you tube.

It's only the LH tensioner that gets upgraded. I did my years ago - it makes a huge difference to noise at start-up.

I replaced mine (LH only as Grizzly says) when I re-built my '01 1150. Made a world of difference in the noise level at startup.

Just use 20W50 Oil and it won;t ever be an issue again!!!!

Not sure which way you are inclined... but do it yourself as it is literally a 20 minute job if you have no experience at all and just follow the video or guidelines on advrider... or on here someplace. The dealership will quote you hours of labour... for no reason.
