Hello
Looking at accommodation for next years trip and possible first night in Cangas De Onis ?
Had quick look at Booking.com but nothing popped out at me .
Any good recommendations for hotels.
Thank you in advance

The Covadonga in Panes turned out to be a favourable hotel in the village square and an excellent choice

May I suggest…. Parador de Cangas de Onis

….. fabulous.

It might of course help bods if you’d listed the hotels which you’d already rejected. That’ll save bods listing hotels that are of no interest to you.

We stayed in the Hotel Águila Real

Cheap, cheerful (not really!), awful breakfast (but a nice cafe 300 metres away) and safe underground parking for the bikes, 5 min walk into town

Not the best digs we had, but it served a purpose, I would certainly suggest not bothering with the hotel food, but just walking 5 mins into Cangas...

Most of these hotels come up through the forum’s search facility, simply by:

1. Highlighting the words: Cangas De Onis

2. Copying the words.

3. Search function.

4. Paste the words.

5. Hit Search.

6. Surf away.

This year I stayed on the coast in Llanes, Hotel Montemar. Really nice hotel in a pleasant fishing village with lots of bars etc. https://maps.app.goo.gl/nMBXBrKJnnAjwmu69 - off road parking.

Last year I stayed 1 night in Cangas at Hotel Santa Cruz. Nice hotel, good breakfast included.
Parking is in a public car park but I parked on the pavement. Perfectly safe, see the Streetview link showing scooters parked next to the railing on the bridge which will take a chain if you feel the need. https://maps.app.goo.gl/8zE5C5RFEnhSwt416

Personally, I would stay in Llanes on a future trip if it is one night before or after a ferry. A much nicer place to stroll around.

Parador de Cangas de Onis .

Stayed at the Parador on our trip in September.

Very nice and worth a look around the building and grounds too.

Rooms in the old building seem nicer.

Food is good, although the restaurant is a bit like a Premier Inn conference room and the wait for food was well over an hour on the first night.
