thinking of removing coloured tank panels (the only bits that are painted) to have them resprayed to liven the dull blue up is it a big job removing them and has anyone had experience of it. All info gratefully received thanks

The tank panel is held on by the filler cap, remove the screws and lift the cap off, have a look at the positioning of the 3 rubbers under the cap and which way up they are for reference when refitting.![]()
If anyone would like to post a picture or describe the original positioning of these rubbers, I have a friend who may be interested. Can you believe I… er, sorry… he didn't check when happily taking the panel off.

Too late to take a picture, but tell him that they engage in the 3 notches in the tank panel which correspond to the protuberance in the slot on each rubber and from memory the longest edge of each rubber is to the top.
Does that make any sense?![]()
The side panels are made of aluminium
Don't spraypaint them, it will wear of over time.
Anodize them innsted (It's cheaper than painting them)
When they make the chemical bath, they can choose allmost any coloure they like.
