Cleaning GSA wheels

I just use a jet wash, cleans the rims and the spokes perfectly- I am careful not to jet wash the grease out of any bearings etc etc...

I also ride through the deepest puddles available on my way home from a blast/3 day out/off road session- this helps loosen up the crud.

This may be useful unless you want your wheels to look like how they did the day you bought them, which it seems most people do! you have two choices-

1. Ride the bike or
2. Clean the bike (and pretend it's in a showroom)

decide which is most important for you

+1!!!

Gave up on cleaning these wheels... And you know what, enjoying my rides a lot more!

Brush for dust and other filth, then a bit of wd-40 on a piece of cloth or other brush. Does miracles and protects the rims and spokes. Is also apply the wd-40 to the tank protection bars, the cilinders, bash plate and around a below the engine front cover.

Harley Davidson do a spoke brush real handy for getting around the spokes. Good around the engine too.

Be careful of using any wheel cleaner. I ruined my wheels at the first clean a few days after getting the bike. I read the blurb on the bottle and it said it was safe for use on my wheels. Result = white marks in the black coating that I cannot remove - and I've tried everything!:blast I would stick to quality vehicle shampoo, water and elbow grease:rob

I did exactly the same using too harsh a chemical on the wheels, Left white streaks on the rime

BLACK BOOT POLISH! Yeah ok it took quite a while to do both wheels but it 100% saved them!
That was 2 years ago and they are as shiny now as the day I blackened them up again.
