OK, I'll fess up straight away. This is a problem relating to my wife's 800R not a GS but I know they share a lot of components. Today her clocks became intermittent, not just the speedo, we're talking the whole display panel, speedo, rev counter. When she stopped the bike she noticed that if she has the bars on full left lock they would work again. I had a look tonight and she was able to replicate the issue so I got out me spanners and set about looking for a dodgy connection. I wiggled the loom near the clocks and followed the loom to where it goes under the headstock. By the time I'd finished I had zilch! Absolutely nothing. The bike starts and runs lovely and all the other electrical bits are working fine. Is she looking at a new set of clocks or is it just a wiring issue? Over to you for ideas.

Thanks:thumb2

Had a similar problem and it was just my battery needing a good charge. May be worth checking if you haven't already?
