I was just checking the bike over as i'm on a Lean & Roll course tomorrow and have noticed the Clutch-fluid reservoir looks empty

I've not had any warning lights come on, nor noticed anything whilst riding the bike today. I've done 4.5k miles since new. Is it normal to go through all of fluid at that level of mileage, also bearing in mind i'm a newbie so don't ness ride the bike like you fellow riding gods ?

Is the bike likely to be safe to ride NOG on Monday am - about 25miles or do i need to call them out (BMW Warrenty) ? I'm presuming I'm going to have to can my course tomorrow.

Advise would be greatly appreciated. :comfort

Is it empty though???
It might look empty but it might not be, the way to get the top off without needing a proper tool is two little screw drivers one either side to push the tabs in and get some one to unscrew it.

I think if it was empty then your clutch would not work. oh by the way if it does need topping up then DONOT use brake/clutch fluid , it is a special fluid from BMW

all good bike shops sell it , its a mineral clutch oil ,rather than dot grade fluid or bmw sell the v10 mineral :)

FFS !!!!!!!!!!

Friendly Ducati rider neighbour just came round to check and it's full to the brim :blast
but as he was walking away he asked me what i was doing about the massive nail sticking out of the tyre !!!!!!!!

Now need new tyres sorted tomorrow so i can go to work on Monday :blast

Don't forget - the reservior fills as the clutch wears.

So overfill it and you'll get clutch slip. :thumb
