A Lanarkshire fish and chip shop has been crowned the best in Scotland and among the top 10 in the UK.
Atlantic Fast Food in Coatbridge will now compete to be named the best chippie in Britain.
The coveted title awarded by the Seafish organisation, has been won by a Scottish chip shop for the past two years running.
Fish and chips remains the nation's favourite takeaway, with nearly 276m suppers sold each year.
Giovanni Fionda, who owns Atlantic Fast Food, said: "We are all absolutely over the moon to be named as the best in Scotland and in the top 10 in the UK.
"The staff work so hard all year round and it is great that this is recognised by both the industry and our customers in a competition that will put Coatbridge on the map."
