Collected my new R1300GS Megamoto Today.

So I collected my White R1300GS today. I had the wheels painted Blue to match the GS writing on the tank. Charles Hurst Motoradd fitted the wheels and carbon front mudguard so it was ready and waiting for me to collect today.

Can’t wait to get a decent run on it on Easter Tuesday weather permitting. I have an Akrapovic on the way and will fit my topbox and tank bag etc tomorrow. I also have a few other “things“ planned for it. Watch this space.

Don't know if it's the angle at which the photo was taken at but the headlight thing doesn't look as horrible against the white beak as it does on the other colours to the point where it wouldn't put me off getting one if they weren't such silly money now.

Enjoy the new bike, the colour and blue graphics suit it

Care to share what was involved to fit up with the 17" wheels and any problems with abs or other electronics along the way...

My dealer fitted the wheels. Only had to order a 1250 abs ring at £51. Other than that they bolted straight on.

Added a few bits. Akrapovic exhaust. New M1000RR carbon mudguard. Superb WRS headlight guard. Gilles footrests. Rizoma cross bar. BMW frame guards and rad guards.

And did 380 miles on it on Easter Tuesday to Donegal and back with Smartbazza in changeable weather. These things are great. Seat perfect. Riding position excellent. Cannot wait to get it run in.
