I am having trouble connecting my Zumo 660 to my PC. When I plug the unit in to the PC using the USB cable the unit powers up and the display indicates that the unit is connecting but then it goes straight to displaying the menu and the PC will not recognise the unit.
If I turn the unit off it indicates it is charging so the connection is physically there and if I connect the unit when Mapsource is not open the unit appears on the PC but then disappears from the PC when the menu opens on the unit.
I have had this problem before and perhaps by sheer luck have overcome it but I do not know how.
Any ideas/advice gratefully received.

I take it that you have the latest version of Garmin 'Web Updater' installed on your PC?

If so, when you open Web updater, then connect your 660, it should auto sync.
Then you can update your 660 with the latest software updates etc.

Also when you open Mapsource, your 660 should sync with it, so you can upload/download routes etc.

It wasn't the above but that did prompt me to look further at getting the PC to recognise the Zumo as a mass storage device which I managed to achieve and got it to sync with Mapsource from there. Cheers!
