corrosion on wiring pins

been doing a bit of work on the front end on 1100gs and discoverd the wiring harness pins have a fair bit of corrosion on them is thair something i can use to remove the corrosion other than scraping it off which will take for ever or replacing the pins loads of hassle

Can't remember the name , but an electrician at work gave me a can of " electrical contact cleaner " a while ago which I found was amazing for removing that green crud that sometimes builds up.... it was from RS components try their web site.:thumb2
 
contact cleaner works wonders in the short term but problem often reappears later as a skin sometimes forms on the contacts.

wd40 works just as well, but lasts longer IME.

connector blocks can be packed with silicone grease if particularly troublesome.
