Thats cos it only goes to starbucks once a week and then is washed an polished to within an inch of its life and lives in a hermetically controlled bubble

Thanks everyone. I was thinking I don’t care about the corrosion, it’s just cosmetic. Buy it ride it and don’t worry about it. But the vibe I’m getting now is walk away and find something better. Cheers all

That's fine but what you may have to accept is that depending when you come to sell it potential purchasers or dealers will be put off if you allow the corrosion to continue unabated.
The dealer knows that it wants dealing with either by some touching in or heavy discount. Just playing dumb. There are better examples out there.
