Croatia advice please

I shall have a meeting with the boss. If she doesn't fancy it we will go to another place on our German list which was the top of Germany on the coast which was the Stralsund area.

but I think i already have one.
Yup sure enough. I do like to make use of the wealth of information on here.
Why not.

Indeed you do have one. And indeed, why not? At least you always say please and thank you. Many don’t bother and neither do their six mates, whose holiday bods have created for them.

You are correct Chris, you are many things...with all the things being..polite, cheerful and pleasant ( but I'm sure that Khulu can come up with some opposites ) :beerjug:

I loved the coast road through Senj/Karlobag/Starigrad-Paklenica - particularly south of Karlobag where you ride right next to the water. Zadar, Sibenik and Trogir are all great (old) towns to visit. Primosten is a lovely little beach town with old town. I've not been to Split but my son has and loved it. Makarska waterside was lovely. Dubrovnik is a bit of a zoo but can you go that far and not visit? It's beautiful. A real gem a short hop south from there is Cavtat. Can't speak to the islands as stayed on the mainland apart from Pag.
Kotor bay just over the border in Montenegro is geat, particularly Perast. Didn't stop in Kotor as too busy. Finally, going that far I'd recommend pushing a little bit further into Montenegro and spend a day or 2 in Durmitor NP (Zabljak). I entered through Pluzine and Trsa which was great. The Durdevica/Tara river bridge was nice. I missed it but was told Budva old town is a gem. HTH

I really enjoyed Croatia, but don’t think a week is enough. Would recommend visiting at least one of the 1200 islands too.
Hvar is easy to get to, from Split. 👍

Was there this time last year, France, Austria, Germany, Slovenia to Porec. Travelled along the coast towards Dubrovnik, a night in Mostar as We were down that way was well worth it. From Dubrovnik we caught the ferry to Bari and up through Italy home.

Again thanks again lads. Could be on hold this one and reverting back to my Germany trip up to the Stralsund area.
It's a fair few days out of our holiday to get down there. Still want to go but maybe flying there and maybe hiring a bike might be a better option for us.
Plenty of time to decide.

Check out Nathan Milward on YouTube. He shipped bikes out to Slovenia and is there now - it’s an option.
I rode to Bled, in Slovenia, in 3 days this year which was easy enough but I wouldn’t subject a pillion to the journey in that time frame.

I went through Crotia in August/September.

places to see, Zeljava Airbase, Nikola Tesla Memorial Centre (I missed this one), Kotor, Ruin village (I missed this one), Nehaj Fortress (theres plenty of forts around), there are lots of viewpoints, waterfalls. Ride the coast. Split it busy but once you make to the waterfront it's worth it.

I'm going back to the Balkans next year as I missed so much. I did a lap around Europe. 16 Countrys, 8000 miles in 7 weeks. I rushed some of it to achieve. That was a big mistake.

Enjoy the Balkans.

If you can do the coast road in Croatia and then head to Bosnia . The countryside is stunning .
