After a pleasant surprise, had to tell someone.....
About 3 weeks ago I noticed the centre stand on my 05 GS12 was impacting on the underside of my paralever as it retracted, causing a fairly deep score. Popped into my local dealer (where I bought it) and enquired as to what could be done about it. They had not seen any previous cases of it and promised to give me a call when the BWM Techie Rep was next in town so I could show him directly.
Forgot all about it until today when I was travelling past them and thought I'd stop off and ask if there was any news. 'Yes Andy, we have just recieved an email from the guy, we could not get hold of you and decided to email them (the factory) direct with the problem. The factory has ordered us to replace all components and file a report, when can you bring it in?'.
'How's this weekend? I answered', 'Excellent, which courtesy bike do you want? The season doesn't start until Mid March so you have the pick for the duration - 3-4 days!'
'I guess I will have to have the new Adv then.....'
So here I am, new back end on order, coooool courtesy bike for a good few days and all for very little effort. I know I am a newbie to BWM (now in third year of GS ownership) but this is the best customer service I have ever experienced, hats off to all at Kirsch's of MG (Formerly Hammers).
