Hi - we have bought a 2595 for the car. I'm planning to use it on the bike (dry weather only, or safely tucked in a tank bag if wet).
Does anyone know if it's possible to download routes to this device? If it is possible - can someone take an IT novice through exactly how?.....theres so many good roads all detailed on bestbikingroads.com and on RiDE and on UKGSERS, it'd be a shame if the 2595 can't accept them!
I've managed to get the thing hooked up to basecamp software, basecamp then uses the 2595 map to identify lots of waypoints (so I know it's talking to it properly) and I can 'see' it as an internal storage device on the PC. So, do I copy the .gpx files to the PC, then paste them into the 2595 internal device (which folder?) and then import them into basecamp? Which folder am I supposed to download routes and POI's into, and then how do I get at them to use on the road? As you can see, well and truly befuddled with it all at present! Surely it can't be this difficult!
Thanks
