Location
North Yorkshire - but the map isn't the territory
Off to Iceland on Monday (I know, lucky bleeder etc etc :P ) and using a Map created by a third party. Has all data on, and I would like to record my tracks as we go. The log will soon fill up, and then overwrites from first points forward. Is there anyway to download the tracks in say an internet cafe and mail to myself for keeping? I've tried the card reader and COM connection on works PC neither of which allow access to card or GPS (no Garmin software installed - as will be case in internet cafes). I'm not likely to be taking the software CD....even if anyone would let me install it.
The tracks are recorded on GPS internal memory rather than card I believe, and I just have the one 128 card anyway.
Is there a solution does anyone know, or should I just colour in the lines on me paper map (which we'll be using to navigate anyway, GPS is just back-up/interest, though handy for finding campsites facilities.)
Any answer in next day or two would be gratefully received. :thumb
Cheers Fritz ;) (not exactly a GPS numpty...but not swayed to the dark-side as yet :D )
