Strange one here. Pulled in for petrol and the DRO (Digital read out) was fine.
filled bike turned on ignition and drove away only to find that the clock was stuck at the same time and the readout for the gear I was in was stuck on one and both are still stuck despite stopping and starting the ignition several times.????

Mine does it now again, the usual culprit is the HID ballast thingy (if you have them)

Pull out the fuse supplying the RID and pop it back in, should be fine after that. I can't remember which fuse it is.... might be 4 :nenau but I just go through them 1 by 1.

Interesting....does this hid ballast problem affect the fuel level reading and low level warning light as well chaps?
(Mine is stuck showing full bars but low level light is on :blast)

No, that'll be something else.:thumb
I've had all sorts of problems with my RID since fitting HID and today this thread had prompted me to move the ballast far away:mad:

Yes I have HID, for a fw years now. Never had a problem before. Maybe its shifted. I will try pulling the fuses later on and see what happens.
Thanks all.

Fuel stations can have weird effects on on bike electronics - a lot of 1200 EWS failures have happened at fuel stations for some reason. Pound to a pinch it's related to your HID ballasts though (perhaps in combination with fuel station bermuda triangle weirdness :eek )

DRO - Sorted

Pulled the fuse and its now sorted.

Incidentally I have heard of a few K1200LT riders having problems with their alarms or starting their bikes at fuel stations occasionally also.
