Dropped in the tank

There was a thread posted over the weekend where a Tosser had found a transponder in the petrol tank and it had been in there since he'd had the bike without him knowing. Possibly placed by a previous owner when data tagged.
The screw isn't going to oxidise or we would all be riding around with rusty tank fittings, so as long as it doesn't rattle why not leave it there

I am very tempted to as the screw is not likely to be affected by petrol as it is used to hold on a petrol cap and it is also not magnetic and hence not liable to rust

Then dropped one of the 6 screws holding on the filler cap into the tank

I wouldn't worry - the only thing to worry about dropping into the tank during the modification is.................................
