The screw isn't going to oxidise or we would all be riding around with rusty tank fittings, so as long as it doesn't rattle why not leave it there![]()
I am very tempted to as the screw is not likely to be affected by petrol as it is used to hold on a petrol cap and it is also not magnetic and hence not liable to rust
