EWS Fault

Just for my own peace of mind can anyone that has had a problem with a EWS ring tell me if they had a sat nav fitted at the time, and if so what sat nav was it.

Recent EWS failure on 07 GS at just over 1000miles. No GPS fitted at time of failure although do use Garmin Quest on Touratech bracket when in France. The EWS failure seems to be a BMW fault and unrelated to GPS use. No problem so far after replacement ring antenna fitted.

Got a BM Nav 3 on the 1200 GSA mount and not had a problem

Is there a possibility Bluetooth and handlebar mounts are thought to be a problem?

Had a garmin 2820 using bluetooth no probelm, now got a Zumo 550 using bluetooth no problem on 06 1200GSA

I did'nt have any sat nav fitted - i had 2 breakdowns with EWS
