It is the BackGround Noise Sensor, used to increase the volume to the earpieces and alter the sensitivity of the VOX as helmet noise increases with speed. It is only used on the current range of Autocoms (I think) such as the Super Pro AVI. Bob

Dave, the cheek pad will have enough room for the mic mate, we attach the mic onto the outer shell of the cheek pad. Rich
