After a couple of sets of Anakees I was going to go back to Tourances, as when I had them before they gripped just as well as Anakees but were cheaper & lasted longer (appealing to a tight Yorkshireman:D )
However I seem to have read quite a few reports of late of poor quality with the Metzlers, are these isolated incidents or have many folks out there had problems, I know lots of you out there use them. I need to order some soon as the rear is getting marginal (read sh@gged) - only lasted 5k miles. Feedback asap appreciated.

Thanks

Ade

I reckon it was a dodgy batch some time ago and they're all either shagged or replaced by now. Got a new set earlier this month and they're fine. Dealer said that they had no returns of faulty Tourances in N Ireland.

Had a new set fitted immediately after P'town (even after knowing all the stories...had to get some new hoops on that day snd they were all available) and they feel fine so far with 500 miles on them.....actually feel better than my previous Anakees.....well chuffed so far :D

Had new pair fitted last month at National Tyres in Barnsley, spot on, the last front did 18000 miles the rears 9000 apeice, £169 the pair fitted to loose wheels.

I've had loads of sets of Tourances and only ever had 1 bad 'un and that was a few years ago.

It was a dodgy front and the bike wobbled like a Weeble (but didn't fall down!).

Tyre dealer fixed it straight away.

I'd stick with the Tourances, don't think you will be dissapointed.

Had a front fitted just over a month ago and had no problems.
I even asked them in the shop about the problem they say they had heard of it but none of their customers had reported any faults.
