Having recently moved from a K1600 to a 2015 GSA I'm more than happy with the decision I've made.

There is 'but' here as you'll have anticipated and it its that I get a lot of 'feedback' through the pegs. Any rough surface on the road, broken tarmac, heavy white lining or similar and I can feel it through the pegs as a series of rumbles and knocks - almost as if the spring on the centre stand had become weak and it was allowing the stand to bump rapidly against the stop. Difficult to describe.

I've mentioned to to a pal with a GS and he reckons they all do that. If they do I'll be happy but I thought I would ask around ...

Anakee 3 tyres by any chance ?

Good tyres but responsible for all manner of noises and rumbles

My GSA did that with Anakees. I changed to Metzeler Tourance Next tyres and it is transformed.

Rear shock rotates in the bushing mountings and every time it hits the end of rotation that is the knock you feel. This rotation happens under compression and rebound. The shock rotating in the bushing is nothing serious, if you grab hold of the shock you can rotate it by hand. One other possibility is the rear hub. You will hear a knock or creaking sound as you mount or dismount the bike. Get this checked out. It can be a poor fitting hub or dry splines. I have had them all. As part of the fault finding done by the dealer the shock mounting bolts were lubricated before the real culprit was revealed. I don't notice the knocks now at 6500mls.

Ahh that's what it is!!! I rode another one at a dealer to see if it was my bike and it wasn't. Of course the dealer "had never heard of it".

I didn't think it was an actual problem but wanted to know for sure

Hmmm, mines does that, almost metallic in feel like a something is loose down there, 600 mile service next week so I will get them check

That's what I was trying to describe.

The rear shock on mine can be easily moved but I'll have them look at it at the 6000 service - due as soon as it can be arranged. Still on the original tries so they will be changed for PR4s soon too. Looking for an improvement after that. BTW I've ordered some rubber footage inserts (about £50 for the pair including fixings - ouch)

Update - just heard from Motorworks that the parts I had ordered for my pegs don't fit the GSA LC and they are unaware of any that do!

My 2013 centerstand gives me the same noise, i Will move the centerstand spring(s), so the spring it more streatched. I hope this helps, the noise / knock Feeling. When i hit bumps.
Brg morten

Yes they all do it, worrying at first but you soon get used to it. We'll call it feed back.

I I get that too, and the demo bike I took out was exactly the same. Only notice it when I'm on a shit, bumpy bit of duel carriageway at constant speed.

I have wondered if it's the centre stand but had a nose around and all seems in order. Be interested to hear if the inserts make a difference.

Every Gs I have ridden has this... It's odd.
The OP describes it well .

To me, on white lines and some "banding" , it feels like a guy has a wee copper mallet (the small ones form a machine shop ) and it tapping firmly on the frame.
