Far more of an insight into the real stories of the Dakar than "Coma was 15 seconds ahead of Cyril Neveu at CP2 blah blah blah"

And given the brilliant reception that everyone is getting, without the threat of any militant nutters wanting to blow anybody up, it seems like the Dakar may have a new home for a year or two more. And it seems for sure that they have found an area that challenges the competitors in all repects

I have been so dissapointed with Eurosport sitting up exhausted at nihjt to see the bikes in particular and have felt little or no connection to the whole Dakar. Managed to watch the Eurosport covereage for the last 2 nights.
I think the guy on Eurosport does a great job , nice relaxed manner, no hyberbole, translates all the interviews well and some excellent footage. Excellent

Combine this with Orlas super behind the scenes reports and I'm lovin this Dakar much more than previous ones'

Hey Dakargirl, yet another great report! it's interesting to peice it all together with what's publish on the Dakar site and via Eurosport...

Filling in some of the blanks for you as it were... as we understand it Ivo Kastan (195) is out, he blew the lower cylinder gasket on the pit bit and had to limp through a stage (5?) following a support truck. He's fixed his bike and is now following the Rally like you guys, apparently his wife is reporting on the Rally and he wanted to keep up with her.

Big news here last night was Al Attiyah was booted out of the rally for missing several way points - but I'm sure you'll have got to hear way more about that there

Gday Guys I see a few of you cant watch the show as you have no TV

Go to the SBS Australia Dakar site ( goggle it) and they have all the stages for every day on video.

I hope this helps someone
